Over the last 5 years in sorting through Thousands of Postcards, Old Hindu Postcards are very interesting, very ornate, very ancient, Prompting Me to do some Research – Wanted to share that
Most Common Scenes we have found of Old Hindu Postcards are pictures and images of Temples and also of The Hindu Statues of Gods – Some from Stone and Gold and Brass. The Regions we find usually are in some close proximity to the country of India.
Buddhism is a faith that was originally founded by Siddhartha Gautama (“the Buddha”) more than 2,500 years ago in India. Siddhartha Gautama, the founder of Buddhism who later became known as “the Buddha,” he lived during the 5th century B.C.
Gautama was born into a wealthy family as a prince in present-day Nepal. Although he had an easy life, Gautama was moved by suffering in the world.
He decided to give up his lavish lifestyle and endure poverty. When this didn’t fulfill him, he promoted the idea of the “Middle Way,” which means existing between two extremes. Thus, he sought life without social indulgences but also without deprivation.
After six years of searching, Buddhists believe Gautama found enlightenment while meditating under a Bodhi tree. He spent the rest of his life teaching others about how to achieve this spiritual state.
Don’t acknowledge a supreme god or gods but focus on Enlightenment

Path to enlightenment is found through seeking a moral life, meditation, and wisdom
There are many variations of its beliefs which allow it to be a very diverse and tolerant belief

Its Followers can worship in temples or their own homes

Buddhism came to China during the Han Dynasty (2000 Years Ago), at the Time China’s Major religion was Confucianism – the two came into conflict. Buddhism centered on monastic life and Confucianism focused on social order and ethics

In the Hindu epic Mahabharata, Dhritarashtra is the King of Kuru Kingdom with its capital Hastinapur. He was born to Vichitravirya’s first wife Ambika and was fathered by Veda Vyasa. He became the father of 100 sons and one daughter. The epic says he was so strong he could crush Iron – but he was blind.
